Mercy Medical Center is a hospital located in Des Moines, Iowa. Mercy strives to set the standard in quality care, hospitality and innovation in how they honor patients and each other beyond the call of duty.

To begin establishing LIVEUP, we first had to recognize key elements of Mercy's brand. By collaborating with key stakeholders within Mercy's team, brand positioning was developed by looking at how the Internal and external branding fused together.

The objective of this rebrand and LiveUp campaign was also designed to inspire the Mercy Experience by inviting Mercy staff to “live up” — to go beyond job descriptions to serve patients and colleagues in ways that are memorable and enriching.

A large part of the LiveUp campaign was meant to encourage patients to take their health into their own hands by being responsible enough to put it first. When we were asked to create a spot for Mercy's maternity center, we leveraged this idea of "firsts" as it relates to pregnancy and birth.
